High-performance driving isn’t merely a spectator sport in Florida. Between schools, car clubs and motorsports organizations, there are many ways to get out and burn rubber. Across the state, here are three of the best pro driving pit stops

NORTH

Florida International Rally & Motorsports Park

Known as The Firm, this facility in Starke offers open track days, as well as advanced road racing and mixed-surface rally driver training. Bring your own car (convertibles need roll bars or cages) and helmet, and come ready to learn how to guide your car smoothly through the sharpest of turns. gorally.com

CENTRAL

Skip Barber Racing School

The school provides the cars and all other supplies for its “arrive and drive” program held at Sebring International Raceway. Options include an introduction to high-performance driving and professional racing preparation, driving instruction and a racing series. skipbarber.com

SOUTH

Sports Car Club of America’s Track Night America

Drive your own vehicle on Palm Beach International Raceway for three scintillating 20-minute sessions. Cars must be no taller than they are wide, but most street-legal rides meet the standard. Track Night happens on Wednesdays April through November at PBIR. flscca.com
